  • 01Is kojic acid safe?

    Yes — at the concentrations we use. Kojic acid is a well-studied tyrosinase inhibitor used in dermatology globally. Our formulas sit at 1–2%, the range the research supports. We don't use hydroquinone or mercury, and never will.

  • 02Will Kojic lighten my whole body?

    No — and that's not what it's designed for. Kojic targets pigmented spots — dark patches, hyperpigmentation from acne, the deeper tone on knees and elbows, post-pregnancy linea nigra. It evens those areas back to your natural body tone. It won't make you "lighter" overall, and we wouldn't sell it if it did.

  • 03I'm pregnant — can I use Kojic?

    Skip kojic during pregnancy and breastfeeding. There isn't enough safety data, and pregnancy hyperpigmentation usually fades naturally in the months after delivery. Use Argan+ + a daily SPF instead until you've stopped breastfeeding.

  • 04Will I need to use SPF?

    Yes — non-negotiable. Any tone-evening product makes skin temporarily more sun-sensitive. Pair Kojic with a daily SPF 30+ broad spectrum. We sell one in the X7 line; any reputable brand works.

  • 05What's the difference between Kojic and X7?

    X7 is full-face, daily, gentle. Kojic is targeted — spots, dark patches, body areas. Many women use both: X7 morning and night on the face, Kojic specifically on stubborn dark spots and body areas.
